Blaž Barborič is leading expert and project manager at Geodetic Institute of Slovenia. He holds a B.Sc. (diploma) degree in geography from University of Ljubljana. He was a fellow at University of Trieste and finished Master of Cartography and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). He is doctoral student at University of Koper.
His primary interests lie in geographical information systems (GIS) and management of projects at national and transnational level. He’s project manager of several national and international projects and actively participates in scientific meetings and conferences. Among others he was project manager of Attract-SEE transnational project and is coordinating Attractive Danube project where Geodetic Institute of Slovenia took the role of the lead partner. He is lecturer of Geographical Information Systems and Cartography at Environmental Protection College in Velenje.
