Darko Mrvaljevic
Darko Mrvaljevic is an EU-affairs specialist focused on local governments, currently serving at NALAS as Project Manager for the Green Agenda/EU Officer, where he helps build the Covenant of Mayors support system in the South-East Europe and coordinates EU-funding initiatives with Local Governments Associations.
He previously led European integration and international cooperation Committee within the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro, being a member of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, guest expert at Joint Consultative Committee of the European Committee of the Regions and Montenegro, and served as Vice-Mayor of Danilovgrad, advancing municipal infrastructure development, partnerships, advocacy and EU funding.
He has actively contributed to Montenegro’s EU negotiation architecture in several Working groups for IPA Programming, IPARD III development, Negotiation Working groups, while training municipal staff in PCM/PRAG for EU funded projects.
Across numerous EU-financed programmes he has managed project design, procurement, and implementation to strengthen local services, resilience, and climate action.
