Đorđe Stefanović
SPEAKER of the 1st National Participation Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Đorđe Stefanović, born in Zenica in 1962. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Sarajevo in 1986.
Since 1998, he has been actively involved in the development of the legal, institutional and political framework for environmental protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans region.
He has achieved notable results in the field of sustainable natural resources management, transposition of the EU acquis into the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, direct support for the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the country and the region, and encouraging non-governmental organizations to actively participate in decision-making processes related to environmental protection.
He coordinated and took part in the expert work on the development, preparation and ratification of the Framework Agreement on the Sava River Basin.
Today, he serves as the Executive Director of the Dinarica Mostar Association and takes part in the work of the Eco Network of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Network of Aarhus Centres in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Nature Protection Network of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Đorđe Stefanović, rođen u Zenici 1962. godine. Diplomirao na Pravnom fakultetu Univerziteta u Sarajevu 1986. godine.
Od 1998. godine aktivno uključen u razvoj pravnog, institucionalnog i političkog okvira zaštite životne sredine u Bosni I Hercegovini i regionu Zapadnog Balkana.
Posebne rezultate iskazao u oblasti održivog upravljanja prirodnim resursima, transpoziciji EU acquis u pravni sistem Bosne i Hercegovine, direktne podrške primjeni Aarhuske konvencije u zemlji i regionu i podsticanju nevladinih udruženja za aktivno uključivanje u procese donošenja odluka u oblasti zaštite životne sredine.
Koordinirao i učestvovao u stručnom radu na razvoju, pripremi i ratifikaciji Okvirnog sporazuma za sliv rijeke Save.
Danas obavlja funkciju izvršnog direktora udruge Dinarica Mostar, učestvuje u radu Eko mreže BiH, Mreže Aarhus centara BiH, Mreže za zaštitu prirode BiH.
