Jani Kozina

Jani Kozina, PhD, is Dean of the Postgraduate School ZRC SAZU and a researcher at the Anton Melik Geographical Institute in Slovenia. His work focuses on urban and regional development, participatory governance, and strategic spatial planning. He has extensive experience leading and contributing to EU-funded projects (Horizon, ESPON, Interreg) supporting local and regional development. His research connects policy, practice, and community engagement, with a strong emphasis on empowering municipalities. He actively collaborates with European and local stakeholders to strengthen institutional capacity and participation in development processes.
