Raphael Sachs

Raphael Sachs is Pillar Officer at the Danube Strategy Point, the technical secretariat for the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). He is responsible for the technical and strategic support of EUSDR Pillar 1 (“Connecting the Region”) and EUSDR Pillar 4 (“Strengthening the Region”). Additionally, he supports the Embedding Process within the EUSDR, aiming to link the Strategy with relevant EU funding programmes. Raphael studied Geography in Vienna and Regional Development in Nuremberg. Within the framework of the EUSDR, he collaborates with stakeholders from more than 230 institutions across the Danube Region. He has professional experience in the field of Project Management, EU Cohesion Policy, and Regional Development.
